Gower Bakery
I grew up in Finland where the food scene is not the most exciting- however I've found combining Scandinavian flavours with British and French classics is a great way to include my heritage to my business. I'm a classically trained pastry chef who worked all the way up to Michelin level until Covid hit. I've been an enthusiastic baker from a young age which my grandmother encouraged and documented! I'm based in Gower, Swansea (hence the name) and always try to use as much local produce in my bakes as possible. My signature bakes are my macarons available in multitude of colours and flavours, my carrot cake as well as my lemon drizzle sandwich, however my absolute favourite thing to bake (and eat) is my sticky ginger and clementine cake! I've been baking full time for my business for about a year now and absolutely love every second of it, ups and downs and all. I always value good flavours over looks, however I love pretty things so I always aim to make things that both taste amazing AND look fabulous.
