New Fruit & Veg Stall launched in partnership with Urban Vertical CIC

We are excited to announce a fresh addition to our market offerings at Cardiff Farmers Markets!

Thanks to a fruitful partnership with Urban Vertical CIC, we've launched a new, organic*, fresh fruit and vegetable stall that will bring global flavours to our city. Whilst we cherish local and seasonal produce, we also recognise the diverse palates and needs of our customers, and so our new stall is dedicated to providing a range of ‘global’ vegetables and fruits that are a bit harder to find locally.

Our aim to spice up your grocery list but to do so in a manner that's as planet-friendly as possible. Think of organic lemons and limes to add a dash of zest to your dishes, or spicing up your meals with fresh turmeric and chilli peppers. You’ll be able to find more exotic tastes like passionfruit and cherimoya, along with beloved staples like garlic, avocado, and aubergines. While we endeavour to expand our range to include items like cassava and okra, sourcing them organically has been challenging, but we're on it!

You can find our new veg stall at our weekly Roath and Riverside markets already, and we're excited to start serving at Rhiwbina from May 24th.

The launch of our new veg stall also coincides with the introduction of ‘The Planet Card’ , underlining our commitment to making sustainable food accessible to all. You can read more about our Planet Card initiative in this blog post.
