1. Who is responsible for managing my information?

This website is owned and maintained by RCMA Social Enterprise Ltd as is the electronic Newsletter.

We are responsible for the collection and proper management of any personal information you submit. We will keep your personal details secure and use the information you provide consistently with applicable privacy and data protection laws and the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. What information do we collect?

Contact Form. For website enquiries we collect name, contact number, email, and nature of business or enquiry.

For Newsletter we have email addresses only. These have been provided by subscribers for the purpose of receiving news.

For registered stallholders only, we collect with you and from you: key contact information and descriptions of your products. Furthermore in line with food industry practice we collect evidence of your ‘registration with the local authority’ or Food Hygiene Rating, evidence of appropriate insurances and food handling certification. Plus evidence of claims of awarding body membership e.g. organic status.

3. How do we use your information?

The information you provide may be used in a number of ways, for example:

Contact Form: To enable us to respond to your enquiry via the website

Newsletter - to provide you with information regarding our markets, events and associated news.

Registered Stallholders – information retained for contact purposes, knowledge of your products and as evidence that all are following due diligence in relation to the food sector.

4. Who will we share your information with?

We do not share your data with other organisations. However, if you are signed up to our mailing list, your subscription details are held by MailChimp, who are a third party.

Stallholders Only – if required and duty bound by regulation, we may have to share information to appropriate statutory bodies in relation to any food safety or trading standards investigations.

5. When can we contact you in the future?

Contact Form – we will only contact you to satisfy the nature of your enquiry and no more.

Newsletter – issue rate will be maximum once per month and no more than 12 per calendar year. We would do this electronically using Mailchimp.

Stallholders – we will contact you as appropriate to organise your requested participation in our events. Events are typically weekly.

If you would like to change any of your preferences relating to the way in which we may use your information. Then for:

Contact Form –should your enquiry be fulfilled or not proceed further, it will be immediately deleted.

Newsletter – you may unsubscribe using the Mailchimp ‘unsubscribe’ link at foot of newsletter.

Stallholder Information – will only be held for the duration that you are participating in our events. Should you no longer be part of our events, it will be deleted/destroyed.

6. How long will we hold your information for?

We have a system of retention periods in place to ensure that your information is only stored whilst it is required for the relevant purposes or to meet legal requirements.

Where your information is no longer required, we will ensure it is disposed of in a secure manner.

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at the address below. Please note that we may charge a small administrative fee for the provision of this information.
